Appropriation and boundary marking of the eastern limit of the ancestral territory Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi using traditional methods
Video made by ACIMVIP on the appropriation and marking of the eastern boundary of the Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi ancestral territory using traditional methods and the guidance of traditional doctors, to protect it from deforestation and colonization. It records walks through the forest and river crossings, ceremonies planting Yagé seeds to mark the boundary points on a map drawn with GPS support, selective logging by settlers and the territory's biodiversity. Traditional authorities, leaders and traditional doctors of the Inga cabildos of Villagarzón and Orito take part. The walks took place between June and September 2014, in the area of the Putumayo and San Juan rivers. We invite you to watch the full video on its original channel.
