The APE La Cabaña case, Block PUT 1: violations of the Inga People's rights analyzed from a legal perspective
Slide presentation narrated by Juan Andrés Montenegro, who introduces himself as representative of the Inga People in the APE La Cabaña case, Block PUT 1, and analyzes from a legal perspective the violations of the Inga People's rights. With maps and texts he explains the facts and the demands, sets out three possibly violated rights (prior consultation, ethnic autonomy, and due process), maintains that in 2012 the Ministry of the Interior declared there was no presence of ethnic groups and that in 2014 an on-site verification study, with the forest engineer Jairo Muchavisoy (name stated in the narration), proved the presence of the Inga People, and requests that the rights be protected and that the legal effects of the project's environmental license be suspended or denied so that ANLA reviews the resolution. He mentions the Ministry of the Interior and ANLA. We invite you to watch the full video on its original channel.
