Invitation from the President of ACIMVIP to the communities of the Inga People of Villagarzón to Atun Puncha 2024

On 8 February 2024 the President of ACIMVIP, Ingry Paola Mojanajinsoy, invited the communities of the Inga People of Villagarzón to take part in the Atun Puncha, the carnival of the Inga People, in a video disseminated by Jota Jota Mix (Mi Jota Producciones) tagged with Acimvip Inga and OPIAC Comunica.

According to ACIMVIP's records, the 2024 carnival was celebrated from 10 to 13 February, and on 6 February the authorities met to agree on the Atun Puncha. Also known as the Carnival of Forgiveness, the Atun Puncha is described by Noticias Putumayo as an ancestral tradition for reconciliation, healing the spirit and living in harmony with others and with nature.
