Your lands, your rights, chapter 60: land restitution for the Inga People in Putumayo
Program on the land restitution process and the defense of the ancestral heritage of the Inga People in the territory of San Miguel de la Castellana, municipality of Villagarzón (Putumayo). A presenter opens the special; the governor, women of the community, and an official of the Land Restitution Unit recount that they live from what they grow (plantain, cassava, peach palm) and describe the impacts of the armed conflict since the nineties, the aerial fumigations, and the arrival of the oil industry after the consolidation of the military battalion in Villagarzón. They explain the Unit's joint work with the community to formalize the territory collectively, with reference to Law 1448 and Decree 4633 of 2011, and the possibility of returning to their farms and plots without fear. It includes images of the forest, the river, crops, schools, weaving, and dances with flute and drum, interviews, and assembly meetings. We invite you to watch the full video on its original channel.
