The Indigenous pillar of Visión Amazonía follows up on ACIMVIP's projects in Villagarzón
The Visión Amazonía Programme reported, in an Instagram post of 26 October 2022, that its Indigenous pillar monitors the activities and progress of all projects and that on that day it did so together with ACIMVIP, in Villagarzón, and the Zonal Indigenous Organization of Putumayo (OZIP), in Mocoa. The post frames this monitoring within the strengthening of the environmental governance of the Indigenous Peoples of the Amazon.
ACIMVIP was the executing entity of one of the projects funded by the Indigenous pillar of Visión Amazonía: the sustainable use of Amazonian fruits, in which ten communities of the Inga People decided to invest. Its processing plant, belonging to the Sacha Muiu Agro-industrial Association, with capacity for 500 litres of canangucha oil per year, was inaugurated on 2 February 2023 in Villagarzón.
