IV Political Summit of the Indigenous Peoples of Putumayo at the Indigenous house of Orito

At the IV Political Summit of Indigenous Peoples, held at the Indigenous house of the municipality of Orito, the candidates for the various public bodies were ratified and the proposal for political participation was presented to the communities of the municipality.

The proposal seeks that, from their social, organisational and self-government platform, Indigenous Peoples move from participation to decision-making and put forward sustainable development from their own perspective. The invitation to communities, peoples and social sectors is to be agents of change and of the harmonious transformation of the Amazon.
