Patrol of the Wasikamas through the Inga Indigenous Reserve of Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi, where the rivers rise
The Inga Indigenous Reserve of Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi, constituted by Agreement 113 of 2020, is the place where the rivers rise and the house of the masters and spirits of the Inga People of Villagarzón. The elders, men and women, the Iachas and Sinchis, the wise men and women, have conserved it, and the new generations have the task of continuing to care for it.
The Mandate of the Elders Suma Kausangapa prohibits the entry of persons from outside the reserve, prospecting for mining-energy and oil projects, and research, tourism or conservation projects that alter the balance of the Ancestral Territory.
The Ancestral Territory must be conserved through the care of the Inga People and also of non-Indigenous people. ACIMVIP thanks the Wasikamas who continue to monitor and care for the sacred territory of the Inga People of Villagarzón.
