Presentation of ACIMVIP's report to the Special Jurisdiction for Peace

PRESENTATION OF REPORT TO THE JEP

On 20 September 2022 at IUIAI WASI, the Association of Inga Indigenous Cabildos of the Municipality of Villagarzón, Putumayo - ACIMVIP, within the framework of a procedural and intercultural dialogue with the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP), presented its report on the events constituting serious violations of human rights and breaches of International Humanitarian Law against the Inga Indigenous People of Villagarzón, Putumayo.

It also requested the JEP to recognise the communities, authorities and members of ACIMVIP as collective legal persons in the context of Case No. 09, in order to guarantee access to and participation in justice and the fulfilment of their rights to truth, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition.

Likewise, the Rapporteur Judge Juan José Cantillo Pushaina presented Auto 105 of 2022, by which Case 09 was opened, on non-amnestiable crimes committed against Ethnic Peoples and Territories as a consequence of, on the occasion of, or in connection with the armed conflict in Colombia.
