The Association of Indigenous Cabildos of the Municipality of Villagarzón Putumayo mourns the passing of the Indigenous leader of the Siona People and former president of ACIPS, Manuel Carlosama Ocoguaje. His constant support for organisational processes, human rights and the defence of the territory leaves a legacy of great value.

We send our condolences to the Siona People, to his family and to his friends. May his spirit and his wisdom guide us in our organisation and in the protection of our ancestral territories.
