Eight Inga communities close the Life Plans project with a ceremony

On 25 February 2026, by official letter OFI-ACIMVIP-INT-006/2026, ACIMVIP invited the eight beneficiary communities to the closing spiritual ceremony of the project «Indigenous Life Plan as an alternative for strengthening the self-government systems of eight communities of the Inga People of the municipality of Villagarzón, department of Putumayo», carried out between ACIMVIP and the Visión Amazonía Indigenous Pillar. The ceremony was set for Friday 6 March 2026 at the Inga Indigenous Reservation of Blasiaku, with the participation of 40 people per community and the presence of the Visión Amazonía team.

The authorities invited were those of the Inga Indigenous Reservations of Blasiaku, Albania, Calenturas and Wasipungo; of the Cabildo Cachiacu Andaki, the Cabildo Nukanchipa Taita Kausadiru and the Cabildo Musu Waira Sacha Nucanchipa, part of the Inga Indigenous Reservation of Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi; and of the Cabildo Atun Taita Ambi Upiadiru. ACIMVIP arranged collective transport with routes from each territory —two chivas via the La Castellana road, two via Puerto Umbría and a bus from Mocoa for Calenturas—, as well as meals (dinner and breakfast) for the participants.

The process produced the eight Life Plans, built through territorial walks, tulpas and mingas de pensamiento with the permanent guidance of the elders; among them is that of the Inga Indigenous Reservation of Albania, whose final version of August 2026 is presented in another News entry.
