Minga of thought with allies at the OPIAC headquarters, in Bogotá

On 17 March 2026, at the OPIAC headquarters in Bogotá, ACIMVIP held an in-person meeting with allies, the first day of a minga de pensamiento and coordination for the legal defence and political advocacy of the Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi Indigenous Reservation.

On 18 March, at 3:00 p.m., at the same venue, the minga continued with a meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the National Land Agency, to which ACIMVIP had invited, on 16 March, the attorneys and directors of the mission areas of both entities, in particular the Sub-directorate of Ethnic Affairs. At the meeting, «Defence of the Inga Ancestral Territory and the Nukanchipa Reservation» was presented.

The invitation explains the reason: on 5 February 2026 the Administrative Court of Putumayo formally admitted the action for annulment and restoration of rights being brought against Agreements 113 and 126 of 2020, and ACIMVIP proposed unifying a joint legal defence strategy and a political advocacy pathway to safeguard the legal certainty of those agreements. It proposed combining the State's technical and legal support with the Inga People's own knowledge systems to respond to the claims of false reasoning and lack of ancestral connection put forward by the plaintiff.
