The authorities of the seven Indigenous Peoples of Villagarzón agree on and endorse the intercultural basic health teams

Between June and July 2026 the authorities of the municipality's seven Indigenous Peoples met at Iuiai Wasi in general assemblies (minutes 013, 016 and 018) to set up the basic health teams with the San Gabriel Arcángel Hospital. On July 20 they reviewed pending profiles and the territorial organization of care, and endorsed the selected staff, who must belong to an Indigenous People and be recognized by their community. The process falls under the Ministry of Health resolution that defines the deployment of intercultural basic teams with an Indigenous approach.
