ACIMVIP and the Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi Reservation appeal the tutela ruling on the Putumayo REDD+ Project
The Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi Indigenous Reservation of the Inga People and ACIMVIP filed on 8 September 2026 a tutela action concerning the Putumayo REDD+ Project, in defence of free, prior and informed consent and of the Inga People's rights to self-determination, autonomy, self-government, territory, cultural identity and integrity, petition and access to information. The 47th Small Claims and Multiple Jurisdiction Court of Bogotá admitted it the same day, against Yauto S.A.S., Carbo Sostenible S.A.S., Aracea S.A.S. and the other companies related to the project, and joined State entities to the proceedings.
On 17 September the court dismissed the tutela action as inadmissible, considering that other means of defence existed. On 18 September ACIMVIP and the Reservation filed the appeal, which sets out two chapters: the ruling's departure from the precedent of Constitutional Court judgment T-248 of 2024, and fourteen grounds based on errors of fact and law, among them that the digital case file did not contain the annexes to the tutela action or to the responses at the time of the decision.
