Thought minga of the Wasikamas with the community of the Inga Resguardo of Wasipungo at the Cabildo House in Villagarzón

The Facebook profile of the Inga Wasipungo Reservation published the call to the minga de pensamiento of the Wasikamas with the Reservation's community, for Sunday 27 September 2026, at 9:00 a.m., at the Casa Cabildo (Indigenous traditional authority) in Villagarzón. Participants were asked to attend wearing cusma and pacha, the traditional dress of the Inga People. The day before, Saturday 26 September, the Corporación Infancia y Desarrollo invited the Reservation's community, at the same Casa Cabildo, to a workshop on new leadership with a gender and protection approach.

The Wasikamas, «Wasikamas Alpa Mama», are the guardians of Mother Earth and the Indigenous Guard of the Inga People of ACIMVIP. The mingas de pensamiento are the collective spaces in which ACIMVIP and the communities jointly analyse their context and protection: in 2023, for example, the Association convened mingas de pensamiento in the Reservations and Cabildos to characterize the context and analyse risk, and in 2024 it closed one of its projects with a minga at the Iuiai Wasi auditorium. The Wasipungo Reservation was constituted by INCORA Resolution 015 of 1999 and is one of the founding communities of ACIMVIP.
