Women from San Miguel de la Castellana, Blasiaku and Kausadiru met at the Cabildo Nukanchipa Taita Kausadiru to work on leadership and community organizational strengthening
On Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, women from the communities of San Miguel de la Castellana, Blasiaku and Kausadiru met at the Cabildo Nukanchipa Taita Kausadiru, belonging to the Inga Indigenous Reservation of Nukanchipa Alpa Amukunapa Wasi, in the community hall.
The session was devoted to leadership and community organizational strengthening. For the Inga People, leadership arises from the community, from ancestral wisdom and from commitment to life; organizational strengthening is a collective process in which the community exists, recovers, resists, decides and projects its future from its own worldview, uses and customs.
The work addressed four pillars: self-government and autonomy; territory and the Life Plan; cultural identity and the social fabric; and management and sustainability.
«Leading is also caring, serving and walking alongside the community.»
