The Inga fight for respect for their ancestral territory
The Inga Indigenous People, settled in Villagarzón, Putumayo, Colombia, resist oil companies weakening their culture, traditions and collective rights. Their leaders denounce that government entities, including the Ministry of the Interior, have allowed multinationals to exploit part of their ancestral territory without their consent. Their struggle is for respect of their rights to prior consultation and to live in harmony with their sacred places.
