Inga Indigenous Resguardo of Albania: cattle management, seedling planting and messages from the community
2 min 03 s vertical video from the Inga Indigenous Resguardo of Albania, edited in September 2026. It shows cattle handling in a roofed corral (milking and calf care), a community member walking through the forest with seedlings, and messages to camera from two women, one of them identified as a Cabildo (Indigenous traditional authority) member. We invite you to watch the full video.
The Reservation's 2026 Life Plan, whose final version dates from August 2026, places cattle ranching among the community's livelihoods: until 2024 the annual incentives for families and elders came from the sale of fattening steers, and in 2025 the assembly decided to shift productive activity towards dairy farming, with distributions of profits planned every three months from 2026. Its action plan also includes the installation of temporary nurseries, the collection of seeds to repopulate degraded areas and the planting of trees along the banks of rivers and streams.
