Project of the Inga community of the Chaluayaco Reservation on traditional knowledge and the COVID-19 pandemic
The project presented in the video addresses the problems Indigenous communities face in relation to COVID-19, such as the death of many knowledge holders, taitas and social leaders. Indigenous communities have been severely affected in terms of health, food, income and even their own traditional knowledge. Despite all the aspects mentioned, a great strength is that through the ancestral knowledge of Indigenous communities they have sought to survive, continuously and steadily strengthening and implementing that knowledge. Strengthening the Inga communities' own health systems and food systems, as well as sharing that knowledge with new generations.
